New Haven Baptist Church

New Haven Baptist Church was established in 1887.  The heritage of this Church is rooted in the rural members who in 1887 feeling the leadership of the power of God established in a little one-room building the New Haven Baptist Church.

St. Catherine Church

Reverend Robert Able established St. Catherine Church in 1844.  The first church was a log building situated in the cemetery.  In February 1862 St. Catherine Church was seized by the Confederate Army and temporarily converted into a hospital.  A cornerstone was laid for a new Catholic Church on May 4, 1884.  This church was destroyed by fire in 1928. The present church was built and dedicated in 1930.
